Getting started
Ship your first InstantMCP.io server in a few minutes.
InstantMCP.io turns a website, docs, or files into a production-ready Model Context Protocol server. No infra to manage: paste a source, get a hosted endpoint your AI clients can call.
What InstantMCP.io does
- Ingest a public URL, Markdown/PDF docs, or an OpenAPI spec.
- Generate MCP tools and resources from that content.
- Host a stable MCP URL you paste into Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible client.
You stay focused on the source of truth. InstantMCP.io handles the protocol surface.
What you need
- An InstantMCP.io account at /app
- A public URL, Markdown/PDF docs, or an OpenAPI spec
- An MCP client: Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible app
Quick path
- Sign up at /auth (magic link or Google).
- Create an organization and connect a source (URL, docs, or files).
- InstantMCP.io generates tools and resources from that content.
- Copy your hosted MCP URL into your client (see Connect).
Tip: start with a small, well-structured docs site or OpenAPI file. Cleaner sources produce clearer tools.
Try our public MCP now
You can already point Cursor or Claude at the InstantMCP.io docs MCP (no account required for this endpoint):
https://instantmcp.io/mcp
Tools include search_docs, get_url, get_pricing, and get_connect_snippet. See What MCP tools can do for how InstantMCP.io turns sources into useful tools.
After your first server
Once your own MCP is live:
- Share the URL with teammates so everyone uses the same tools
- Re-sync when your source changes (manual refresh or scheduled sync, depending on plan)
- Ask the in-app assistant about setup, quotas, and connect snippets
